Help Improve Medication
Safety
in Tennessee |
|

To improve medication safety in Tennessee, the
Tennessee Pharmacists Association adopted a Universal Medication
List (UML) in 2007 as the first step in a project to provide
medication information across the continuum of care. Tennessee
healthcare providers should encourage their patients to carry an
up-to-date medical and allergy list with them at all times to be
available at entry and exit from all healthcare encounters. To
obtain free tools (poster, newsletter article, powerpoint
presentation, etc.) that can be downloaded from the TPA's
website go to www.tnpharm.org
then click on "Universal Medication List." |

NEW
Program Increases Access to Care
The
TDA is proud to announce the arrival of a new program in Tennessee that
will give dentists an easy way to give back to the disabled,
elderly and medically compromised residents of their communities.
The National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH) and
TDA are working together to launch Donated Dental Services (DDS) statewide.
